Dear mishpocha (family) and beloved brothers & sisters in Yeshua!

We’re so blessed to be living during this age. God is working the same way He has for our forefathers. As you know, the king Ahasuerus (Xerxes I) ruled from 127 provinces that spanned India to Kush (modern day Ethiopia). The story begins with a banquet in the third year of his reign (483 BC), followed by Esther becoming queen during his seventh year (478 BC), and Haman’s plot in the twelfth year (474 BC). Esther explained the origin of the Feast of Purim and ensured it would be observed by all future generations of the Jewish people (Esther 9:28). Clearly she was successful since Jews have continued to observe Purim to this day. The book of Esther is read as part of the Purim celebration.

The amazing thing is that in this time and age, the same people like Haman want to destroy the Jewish people. God intervened and removed the enemies of His people through President Trump and our Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The miracle is happening on the same day and in the same month as when God used His mighty power to destroy the Jewish enemies in the past. We need to recognize God’s unconditional love and believe in the promise he made to our forefathers. You are part of the redemption. You can save the Jewish people especially when antisemitism is arising everywhere. God always uses the unexpected person. In 474 BC, God raised the orphan Esther to save the Jews. God helped President Trump destroy the enemy of our people who was a supreme leader of Iran and an evil man. Our God will perform miracles forever.

I am praying for each of you and your households. I’m praying that the Lord will give you victory and restoration for every situation you’re facing. I encourage you to keep praying for our people. I’m here in Ethiopia and will be going back to Israel after. Please lift me up in your prayers.

We are preparing to celebrate Passover. Another miracle where the Lord brought our people out of the bondage of Egypt and the hands of Pharaoh. I’m planning to celebrate here in Ethiopia with the forgotten Beta Yisrael. Our people in both countries need encouragement and hope because of the ongoing civil war. I’m able to support our people because of your faithfulness and support to our ministries. Thank you for all of your donations, prayers and sacrifices. I know God will bless you like He promised Abraham in Genesis 2:3.

Rabbi Kokeb & Pastor Menalu, with love from the family.
